Fortnitemares is Fortnite's very own take on Halloween.

It's a big celebration in the game, and has a lot of rewards in store. This year's Fortnitemares has gone live, with many smaller releases leading up to the Wrath of the Cube Queen. Make sure to check below for our guides on the 2021 Fortnitemares events!

Fortnitemares 2021 is officially over, and what an event it was! Epic most likely has something up its sleeve to pass the time until Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 9 (or will it be Chapter 3, Season 1), but for now say goodbye to all the spooky goodness.

October 28, 2021 -

A new miniseries created by Fortnite and Universal Pictures will air its first episode inside the game during Shortnitemares later today. The new Bride of Frankenstein outfit will be featured, and available later on in the Item Shop.

Fortnitemares new Tarot Cards

The Queen is here! Battle Pass holders can now complete quests to unlock the Cube Queen and other cosmetics to go along with her.

New Fortnitemares skins are coming this week, including:

  • Shadow Midas
  • Fallen Heroes (customizable Zombie Superheroes)
  • Kernel Poppy

As an addition bonus, owners of Hush will receive a new "Hush (Haunted)" style for the skin when the first log in to Fortnite when it updates to 18.30.

That means there are just 2 unknown Tarot Cards for this week! One of them is rumored to be The Bride of Frankenstein.

October 25, 2021 -

It is the fourth and final week of Fortnitemares. Here is to hoping Epic pulls out all the stops and releases some truely amazing content for the final Tarot cards! Shadow Midas and the new Dusk are still expected to land, and fans were treated to new Resident Evil skins over the past weekend already!

October 21, 2021 -

Shadow Midas, a new Dusk, and more are coming next week as Fortnitemares content enters Week 4, and the final set of Tarot Cards. Expect to see the Mummy in the Item Shop soon, and is currently a hireable NPC found in front of Viking Vessel.

Fortnitemares 2021 is now live. With special quests, chilling outfits, and spooky rewards at stake. Do you have what it takes to face the corruption on the Island?

Ariana Grande and the Containment Specialst are also on the Island with new Punchcards, both which are part of completing Fortnitemares Challenges!

October 18, 2021-

The KAWS Skeleton hit the Item Shop over the weekend, fufilling another Fortnitemares Tarot Card. Shadow Midas is expected soon, as well as challenges for free Fortnitemares rewards!

October 14, 2021 -

The customizable "Tricks and Treats" bundle should be available in the Item Shop tonight with over 10,000 combinations!

October 13, 2021 -

The Reaper Pickaxe is available now, as well as a new style for Big Mouth. A KAWNS collab has also been confirmed, though not yet released.

October 12, 2021 -

A round of Fortnitemares cards have been sent out to certain content creators including hints to what items are coming to the game.

Rumors are circulating that one has to do with the Cube Town POI, while another has to do with the upcoming Sideways Scythe.

October 8. 2021 -

Looks like Fortnite fans may be getting Rick Grimes soon! If @HYPEX's leak is to be believed, The Walking Dead's star figure may join the Fortnite ranks in the 18.20 update.

October 6, 2021-

According to the Epic Games blog post on Fortnitemares, over the next couple of weeks, we will be seeing more skins and items revealing themselves.

They've been designed as tarot cards. The first two skins for the first week have gone live, and we'll have to wait and watch for the other skins.

October 5, 2021 -

According to a tweet by Fortnite data miner ShiinaBR, we'll be seeing a new notification on the Epic Games Launcher with respect to Fortnitemares 2021.

This notification will be for the community-designed maps that are scheduled to go live tomorrow. These community-designed maps will be located in the 'Discover' tab under the Fortnitemares section.

September 29, 2021 -

New skins have arrived just in time for Fortnitemares 2021. One of these skins is Cuddle Scream Leader, a very... dead-looking male version of Cuddle Team Leader. The other skin is a glow-in-the-dark skeleton version of Renegade Raider. Players have also received an extra style called "Glow" for Boxy.

There are some new licensed skins as well, with Universal's Frankenstein's Monster available now, and the Mummy on the way.

Fortnitemares 2021 Start Date

While there were many small releases and creative maps leading up to it, the main Fortnitemares event started on October 19th, 2021.

The event will last until November 1, 2021.

Fortnitemares 2021 Details

This year's Fortnitemares revolves around the Sideways and the Cube Queen. There are quests that revolve around the formation of The Convergence and the arrival of the Cube Queen, as well as a new LTM, Horde Rush.

The rewards and their requirements are as follows:

  • All-Weather Extractor Pickaxe – Complete Ariana Grande’s Monster Hunter Punchcard
  • Cube Cruiser Glider – Complete Dark Jonesy’s The Oracle Speaks Punchcard
  • Cube Queen Skin – Complete 20 Horde Rush quests
  • Fortnitemares Spray – Earn a team score of at least 400,000 in Horde Rush
  • Moonlit Duel Loading Screen – Complete two Fortnitemares Quests
  • Raven’s Curse Spray – Complete a Fortnitemares quest
  • Thinking Juice Back Bling – Earn 2,000,000 combined team points in Horde Rush mode
  • Wrathful Breakout Contrail – Complete three Fortnitemares Quests

Fortnitemares Cup

The Fortnitemares Cup: Horde Rush took place over the course of October 23 - 24, 2021, and put players against hordes of foes in Horde Rush Mode. Players were able to earn Tournament Points for every 1000 points they earned in Horde Rush mode with the following rewards:

  • Loading Screen - 500 Tournament Points
  • Feeling Wrathful Spray - 1000 Tournament Points
  • Ghoul-d Game Emoticon - 2000 Tournament Points

Fortnitemares Creative 2021

Unlike last year, Fortnitemares 2021 will branch out to the creative mode as well.

Over the course of the event, map creators will be allowed to make new Halloween-themed maps.

This move is a very interesting way to increase community engagement by Epic Games.
