Fortnite Season 8 Theme and Story
The Mothership has been destroyed, but its destruction took a heavy toll on Apollo Island.
Not only that, but The Sideways, an invasion force consisting of Cubes and some kind of zombie golems have shown their true hand, let by an enigmatic female figure.
The siege has started for real, and the island will never be the same.
Fortnite Season 8 Skins and Weapons
The latest Battle Pass features several new Skins, including a customizable Cartoon Fishstick, as well as Marvel's Carnage as the top-tier reward.
Naruto has also been confirmed to be in this Season, though there is no news on when he will be in the Item Shop, or what his bundle may contain.
There are several new weapons in Season 8, including the Sideways Rifle, Sideways Minigun, and Sideways Lightblade.
These can be upgraded with special crafting materials gained from defeating Sideways foes.
The Automatic Sniper Rifle also makes a return this season.
Venom Is Coming to Fortnite Season 8, making this the second Skin available for the popular Marvel character.
There will be a full bundle available for Venom, and he is rumored to arrive in Fortnite on October 1, 2021.
New Starter Set
The new Starter Set coming to the Item Shop when Season 8 launches will feature D'Ark with her Shattered Hope Back Bling and Dark Blessing Pickaxe.
It is expected the set will also include a certain amount of V-Bucks, probably 600.
Starter Packs run the gambit on price, but the set for Chapter 2, Season 7, Dizzie's Domain, was only $3.99/£3.19.
Starter Packs are an excellent value for players both new and old!
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 brings back Punch Cards to the game, allowing players to earn extra XP by completing sets of tasks.
There are around 80 different Punch Cards to complete ranging from 12,000 XP to 20,000 XP.
There is a total of 1.28 million XP up for grabs in total.
Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass
The Season 8 Battle Pass offers players a plethora of rewards, and still uses the new Battle Star system introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7.
The Battle Pass contains 10 pages of rewards for players to claim using Battle Stars, with additional bonus pages unlocking with special rewards for players that make it past Level 100.
The premium Battle Pass will cost 950 V-Bucks, this is about £7-8.
Battle Pass Bundles are usually available for 2800 V-Bucks and reward players with access to a certain amount of Battle Stars and unlocked Battle Pass pages.
To go from Level 1 to Level 100 without buying ANY Levels, players need to gain roughly 7,500,000 XP total.
Beat Back the Sideways
In several areas of the map, players will find Purple Rifts that open a mini-game where they have to defeat a certain amount of Sideways enemies in a specified amount of time.
Rewards are determined by how well they do and include Sideways Weapons.
This is one of the best ways for players to obtain crafting items for Sideways Weapons.
