The best armor in Sons of the Forest

The best Sons of the Forest armor can be a bit hard to find. As you need to craft everything yourself, you will often find you change armor quickly. If you're looking to know which of the many armors are the best, this is everything we know.

The best Sons of the Forest armor

There are a handful of central types of armor you can equip in Sons of the Forest. Though some are definitely better than others, we will take into account how hard they are to get, whilst giving a general rundown of what you should know. You should wear the majority of these armors at some point during your playthrough of the game.

Don't be too worried about swapping them around or getting them at different points in the game. Sons of the Forest rewards creativity.

Gold Armor

The Gold Armor is one of the strongest in the game. For this reason, it may take you a few hours to get to it. On the map, you have to go all the way to the east of the snowy mountain near the lake. This is the armor you will likely be using at the end of the game.

Tech Armor

Tech Armor is the single strongest piece of armor in the game but it is quite hard to get your hands on and will break easily. For this reason, we only recommend making it if you have spare resources. To build this, you need to combine the following ten times:

• Tech Mesh
• Wire
• Duct Tape
• Circuit Board
• Batteries

Unfortunately, to make Tech Mesh, you need a 3D printer. This is a real chore to build but is worth it for the game's biggest battles.

Bone Armor

Bone Armor is a fantastic choice as it is strong and relatively easy to build. You simply need to combine the following:

• 4 Bones
• Rope
• Duct Tape

You can get bones from enemies so you can build this very early on.

Hide Armor

Hide Armor is reasonably strong and can be made with 1 Cloth and 2 Animal Hides. This makes it an excellent choice early on and it works as protection from the cold. This makes it easy to mass produce and, therefore, an excellent choice if you're in a game with multiple players.
