This powerful firearm can deal a staggering amount of damage at close range to even the strongest mutants. With high reward comes a big risk, though. It's prone to slow firing and reload speeds, and finding the gun is no small order, either.

How to get the shotgun in Sons of the Forest

The shotgun is one of the most effective weapons in Sons of the Forest, and it is highly recommended to get it as soon as possible. Its shots are really powerful and with its help, you will be able to stagger even the most dangerous enemies. However, we don’t recommend you waste shotgun ammo on standard cannibals and weak mutants, as you can just as easily use worse weapons.

Fortunately, this gun is relatively easy to find. You just need to go to the northwestern part of the map. There you will have to look for a huge peninsula located in the northwest of the island.

On this peninsula, you will see a purple marker. Go there and you will find a glade with a wooden cross in the middle of it. After that, you will need to use your shovel to dig up this grave. Once you do it, you will see a wooden coffin with the corpse of a fallen soldier. Also, inside this coffin, you will find a shotgun.

There are lots of different weapons you can use in this game, but it’s hard to find something better than the shotgun. It's extremely useful against certain enemies and with its help, you will be able to explore even the most dangerous locations.
