Despite Activision remaining tight-lipped on all things Modern Warfare 3, reliable leaker TaskForceLeak5 has uncovered a wealth of information about the game developed by Sledgehammer Games.

Does Modern Warfare 3 have weapon platforms?

If the leaks are accurate, Modern Warfare 3 will feature weapon platforms that were introduced with the launch of Modern Warfare 2. This means specific weapons will be grouped together under the same progression tree, meaning you'll need to use a variety of weapons to unlock them or to unlock specific weapon attachments.

Modern Warfare 3 reveal date

With the reveal event countdown now on, it's not long until August 17 when Operation Shadow Siege takes place. Players will drop into Warzone to complete an objective and there's a chance of another trailer showcasing some of the weapon arsenal appearing.
