If you plan on using a melee weapon in Modern Warfare 3, picking one that looks cool is recommended. They don't get much cooler than the Dual Kamas, but to make sure you're scoring kills, read on to discover the best Modern Warfare 3 Dual Kamas loadout.

Like the Gutter Knife and other melee weapons before it, the Dual Kamas are best used by stealthy players looking to enjoy the stylish animations of finishing moves. The sickles are based on traditional Japanese farming equipment and can harvest plenty of kills in the right hands.

For loadouts that are more gun-focused, check out our guides for the M13B and Chimera. We're adding several more in the run-up to release, too, in our dedicated Modern Warfare 3 walkthrough hub.

What is the best Modern Warfare 3 Dual Kamas loadout?

While we can't recommend anything specific right now - Modern Warfare 3 isn't out yet, after all - we have some ideas for useful loadouts. Assault rifles like the Holger 556 and sniper rifles like the KATT-AMR will complement the short range of the Dual Kamas.

Stealth should be a top priority for players wanting to execute melee kills, so using silencers or naturally quiet guns is also recommended. We'll be sure to update this guide with the latest intel in future, however.

Best Modern Warfare 3 Dual Kamas perks and equipment

Consistent melee kills are hard to come by. You'll need to keep a level head to avoid rage quits, so bringing good perks and equipment can help you stay alive. Below, we've listed some of the combinations that are best suited to melee.

Perks

  • Vest: Demolition
  • Gloves: Ordnance
  • Boots: Covert sneakers
  • Gear: Blacklight flashlight

If guns aren't your thing, the best perk for the vest slot is demolition. It resupplies your lethal and tactical equipment every 25 seconds, letting you make the most of these useful tools by constantly spamming them.

Your gloves are well-suited to the ordnance perk. It makes your equipment throwing more effective and resets the timer on grenades you throw back at enemies. Equipment is a great source of kills, and this perk makes it more effective.

Boots benefit greatly from covert sneakers. They make your footsteps silent, and oblivious enemies are a stealth killer's best friend.

Finally, the gear perk slot excels with the blacklight flashlight perk. It shows the footsteps of enemies that were recently nearby, so stealthy players can know at a glance whether they're in enemy territory or safe to keep moving.

Equipment

  • Lethal: Frag grenade
  • Tactical: Flash grenade

Getting out of trouble is important when you're limited to melee, so a frag grenade is a helpful bit of kit. Equally, the flash grenade can get enemies off your back in a pinch, or let you rush in for a one-two sickle strike.

Are the Modern Warfare 3 Dual Kamas meta?

Melee weapons are rarely part of the meta in any Call of Duty game, so it's unlikely but not impossible that the Dual Kamas will rise to the top. They're certainly stylish enough to gather attention, so may end up being part of most players' loadouts just for aesthetics.

If you're interested in more loadouts, dig into the Sidewinder, WSP Swarm, and Renetti guides - just three examples of the many weapons we've covered.
