The Modern Warfare 3 gunsmith is rich with attachments capable of transforming the RGL-80 to suit any style of play imaginable. But, considering it's still a grenade launcher, there are specific situations in which the weapon will work best and others where you might want to avoid it. • Gloves: Commando
• Boots: Lightweight
• Gear: Ghost T/V Camo

By bringing the Demolition vest, you'll be able to resupply lethal and tactical equipment quite fast, so in case you run out of charges for your RGL-80 you will still be able to fight and blow the enemies to kingdom come.

With the Commando gloves, you can also reload while sprinting, so you can move faster. That is also where the Lightweight boots come into play, as they will allow you to move faster and get out of some sticky situations.

Finally, by bringing the Ghost T/V Camo as gear you'll have a much better chance at staying hidden, as it conceals your location from enemy UAVs and radar sources. While moving, it will also make your heartbeat hidden from any enemy using the sensor to locate you.

You do want to keep your grenades with you at all times. With this combination you will be able to not only defend yourself if you're low on ammo, but also blind enemies by using the flash grenade, so you can retreat to a safe position.

Together with the gear, this loadout makes for a quick soldier who can lob out some grenades at the enemy and then recover to a safe position. Just hit them where it hurts and then run away - you can't go wrong with that.

Is the Modern Warfare 3 RGL-80 meta?

The RGL-80 is indeed quite a strong launcher, so there is a distinct chance that it could become popular and end up into the meta. Still, as mentioned, this launcher does need to be as precise as possible along with a decent reload speed, since otherwise you will be a sitting duck on the battlefield.
