For the vast majority of these grinding groups, lucrative heists like Cayo Perico are a favourite means of raking in the moolah, offering enough fun to keep things from getting too stale.
Though, in the case of one ambitious player on Reddit, heist earnings have allegedly made up 0% of their massive $100 million fortune.
How much GTA money have you earned from non-heist activities?
This interesting claim is the subject of a recent thread in the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the player in question, user alphaasks, who shared an image of their fortune lurking in the corner of their screen, captioning it: “I know absolutely nobody cares but I’ve officially reached $100 million dollars, WITHOUT CAYO.”
Some of their fellow players had some important questions about the feat, with user danndaman007 asking: “Without any heists or without the Cayo (Perico) heist?”, leading alphaasks to answer: “Without any heists, I'm an introvert.”
Others had different queries, with user Ok-Difficulty5495 enquiring: “Do you remember what the sun looks like - or anything outside for that matter?” and 3LittleCavies wanting to know: “Are you going to shower now?”
User AeneasVAchilles had a line of questioning that was slightly less insulting, saying: “I am happy for you, and applaud your skills and efforts--but why?? I need to know. Is it just to do it? I feel like I'd be completely bored of GTA if I played it that much.”
While the answer to that question never came, a few other users in the thread seemed to share the money-making zeal AeneasVAchilles was wondering about, with lordFRZA69 saying: “Congrats! I’m going to get there myself one day soon. (I’m) at $70 million now.”
Meanwhile, user 40ozFreed suggested that alphaasks should give up on stockpiling cash and blow some of it, declaring: “Time to buy a yacht.”
