GTA Online Weekly Update (July 18 - July 25, 2024)

The GTA Online weekly update for July 18 has refreshed content with special events and discounts to the game, as is the case most weeks.

Ranging from races to a new range of robberies to complete, the weekly updates for Rockstar Games' live-service title continue to inject a breath of fresh air into Los Santos as attention starts moving to the next wave of GTA 6 information. Though it's not always substantial new content drops, smart refreshes each week give you something to chase.

Grand Theft Auto Online has cemented itself as one of the biggest games and that's for a reason. So if you're looking to play the game this week, here's what you need to know.

GTA Online Weekly Update Release Time (July 18, 2024)

The GTA Online weekly update goes live every Thursday morning at:

• East Coast US: 5am (EST)
• West Coast US: 2am (PST)
• UK: 10am (GMT)
• Europe: 11am (CET)

The update for July 18, 2024, which runs until July 25, refreshed a wealth of content, ranging from new challenges to a wave of new discounts and events that you should take advantage of.

Highlighted below is everything that you need to know about this awesome new update.

New Content

This week's GTA Online Weekly Update has added the Canis Castigator SUV ($1,650,000), now available for all players, as well as the daily Madrazo Hits bounties.

Last week's update brought the new Vapid Dominator FX Interceptor ($4,950,000) and Declasse Impaler LX Cruiser ($4,800,000) police variants which were made available for all players. These vehicles were initially available for GTA+ Members with the launch of the Bottom Dollar update.

Salvage Yard Robbery Targets

This week's GTA Online Salvage Yard Robbery Targets are:

• The Cargo Ship Robbery: Vapid Clique
• The Duggan Robbery: Vapid Dominator ASP
• The Podium Robbery: Ocelot Virtue

Find these vehicles and take them to your Salvage Yard. If you're yet to start this, simply purchase the Salvage Yard from Maze Bank Foreclosures.

GTA Online Time Trials This Week

HSW Time Trial

This week’s HSW Time Trial is Ron Alternates, racing from Ron Alternates Wind Farm to Elysian Island, with time targets of:

• Class A: 2:38:000
• Class B: 2:53:000
• Class C: 2:53:000

Hao's Special Works Time Trials are only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as part of the next-gen version of GTA 5/Online.

Time Trial

This week’s Time Trial is LSIA II, rewarding you with $100,000 if you can beat the 2:24.000 record racing from LSIA to Galileo Observatory.

Test Track Vehicles

The three test ride vehicles this week in GTA Online are:

• Coil Raiden
• Pfister 811
• Vapid Bullet

GTA Online Prize Ride Challenges

If you manage to place first in LS Car Meet races for two days in a row, you will win the Vulcar Warrener HKR as this week's Prize Ride vehicle. This is a sedan worth $1,260,000.

Premium Test Ride Vehicle

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players can test out the Karin S95 as part of Hao's Premium Test Ride this week. To do this, get a membership from Mimi and head to the LS Car Meet.

The Karin S95 is a sports car worth $1,995,000.

New GTA Online Podium Vehicle

The new Podium Vehicle available this week is the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag. This is a drag motorbike worth $976,000.

GTA Online Weekly Challenge

This week's GTA Online Weekly Challenge is to complete three hits for Martin Madrazo to get a $100,000 bonus.

These are contract assassination missions offered by Madrazo. You can access these either by driving to Madrazo's ranch or by selecting them through the Job menu and selecting Dispatch missions.

GTA Online Daily Challenges

Alongside the weekly challenge, there are also seven daily challenges that you should complete. The GTA Online daily challenges this week are:

• Thursday: Participate in a Freemode Event
• Friday: Participate in the Featured Series
• Saturday: Participate in the Drift Race Series
• Sunday: Participate in a GTA Race
• Monday: Participate in Club Work
• Tuesday: Participate in Rhino Hunt
• Wednesday: Complete a Contact Mission
