It's been a while since we've seen some major map changes in Fortnite. The last time we saw something like that was when the Spire in the middle of the map was zapped by the alien Mothership.
Although that didn't change the landscape that much, we might just see a new landscape on the map soon.
Everything we know about the new Cube Town POI in Fortnite
Rumors about a Cube Town POI in Fortnite have been doing the rounds recently. These rumors have been backed by the renders and the gameplay files that were leaked on Twitter.
Data miners have further gone on to say that the Cube Town POI will be a reality in Fortnite Season 8 after Fortnitemares 2021 has ended.
The cubes that we see on the map right now are supposed to start moving and accumulate at the centre of the map. The spot is barren right now, but it has a very eerie feel to it.
Once all the cubes accumulate in the centre, they're supposed to form the Cube Town POI. This POI will be filled with chests and jump pads.
Interestingly enough, it is believed that the Zero Point is still located here under the surface and will be revealed in due time.
We're not really sure how the Cube Town POI will affect the gameplay in Fortnite Season 8. But the initial renders show that this place will be really interesting.
And given the number of chests that are present here, I personally wouldn't be surprised if it were a hot drop.
