Doctor Who travels to Roblox after skipping Fortnite

All this time fans were waiting for Doctor Who to appear in Fortnite, but the legendary BBC icon is coming to Roblox instead with the introduction of Wonder Chase. Numerous rumours claimed that we were going to see The Doctor and his allies in Epic Games’ battle royale, so this is a big surprise.

BBC Wonder Chase is a collection of mini-games and worlds based on the broadcasting corporation’s brand, with a ton of characters from various shows. Naturally, this includes the 15th Doctor, who can be seen in the trailer and promotional images in all his Roblox-like glory.

It’s pretty surprising to see Doctor Who appear in Roblox ahead of Fortnite, especially since the latter is a lot more popular these days. While Roblox also has plenty of fans who adore it, the game doesn’t tend to get as much crossover material as Epic’s free-to-play shooter.

That’s not to say that The Doctor will never appear in Epic’s battle royale, but it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer for that to happen. Considering the weird logic Epic has when it comes to these crossovers, it could take ages before we see any of The Doctors appear.

When it comes to Fortnite it’s usually a matter of “when” more than “if” with crossovers, so we’re sure Doctor Who will eventually come to the shooter. Fans might have to wait years before they see The Doctor and his supporting cast in the game, especially with all the variations per Doctor.

Fortnite often times its crossovers with relevant shows or movies, though not always in the most sensical way. When Netflix’s Avatar debuted, Epic Games responded by bringing in Korra from, well, The Legend of Korra, to the game. Granted, she is a part of the Avatar universe, but the smarter choice would have been Aang.
