Valheim: Where to Find Tin

One of the basic but essential metals in Valheim is Tin.

Players can harvest using the first available pickaxe, the Antler Pickaxe.

It's pretty useless itself but once combined with other metals it will become vital.

When mixed it can be put towards weapons, armour and more.

Below we'll share how to find Tin and what to make with it.

Where To Find Tin

To find Tin you'll need to make your way to the Black Forest.

Check along waterfronts like lakes and rivers.

You should be able to see it similar to a stone but shiny and metallic.

At night carrying a torch will help as it should reflect off of the Tin.

What To Make With Tin

You can use Tin to make a Cauldron which will be necessary when making Mead Bases.

Mead Bases can eventually be turned into potions which will become really important down the road.

One piece of Tin will take two Coal to smelt in the Smelter.

When it's finished smelting you can mix it with Copper at the Forge, voila you have Bronze!

Bronze is great for making tools, armour and more.

Valheim is the next Viking title to take Steam by storm, there are plenty of plans for the future with the 2021 roadmap. You can even set up a dedicated server and play with your friends in coop! If bosses interest you, there's already four in the game Eikthyr, the Elder, Bonemass and Modor, you'll require plenty of items along the way like the Swamp Key.
