October 16, 2023 - After a range of updates, we've adjusted our Deepwoken weapons list.

However, there's just not a clear-cut answer at launch, so it'll be a case of testing whichever one suits your intended playstyle. To help you out in this endeavour, we've compiled together all of the Deepwoken weapons available at launch.

As you can see from the list above, there's not really one single weapon that stands out as the best right now.

This could change soon enough as we continue to play through the game, but for launch, it's a good idea to just experiment with each to see what works for you.

If you're completely new to the game, we'd recommend chasing one of the simpler weapons, like the sword. Easy to use and predictable, it's a decent pick to get you up to speed on the combat, before you eventually test out some of the heavier Deepwoken weapons.

It's also worth noting that not all of these weapons are designed to cause damage. The shield, for example, is a defensive item that'll only really be useful during certain combat encounters. Should a new update come along that includes any additions or balance tweaks, we'll be sure to let you know right here.

How can I deal more damage with Deepwoken weapons?

If you're looking to deal a little more damage with your favourite Deepwoken weapons, you may want to pay attention to a recent update.

On December 28, Heavy Weapon, Medium Weapon, and Light Weapon Mantras were added to the game. Details are sparse, but it's believed that if you pair these with the correct weapon choices, you'll be able to deal more damage.
