Torchlight Infinite - Is the game cross platform?

Torchlight Infinite is the fourth game of the series and the first mobile and PC iteration in the franchise. It's free to play, and is now in open beta, so players can go in and create one of six characters in the game. There's a variety of playstyles in the game so there's something for everyone.

Is Torchlight Infinite cross platform?

Whether or not Torchlight Infinite is cross platform really depends on how you're using the term cross platform. If you're wanting to go from say your phone to your PC and use the same account, then in that sense Torchlight Infinite is cross platform.

If you're wanting to play with friends who are on different platforms, say one who is on mobile and the other on PC, then in that case, the game is not cross platform. This is only because co-op play is not yet in the game. That being said the game will be getting co-op play soon, so this will make the game truly cross platform. We don't have any confirmed dates around co-op yet, so

What platforms can I play Torchlight Infinite on?

As we said, Torchlight Infinite is available on mobile and PC. That being said, There are a few different places that you can get Torchlight Infinite. On PC, there are two places to get the game. One is on Steam, and the other is through the game's website. The website version has it's own launch. The only real advantage of using this over the Steam version is the is that the individual client version may get updates a touch faster than the Steam version.

On the mobile front, Torchlight Infinite is available on both iOS and Android. For iOS, the game is available in the the appstore. For Android we have a few choices. The first one is the Google Play store, and the other is TapTap, which is a 3rd party app store.
