Space Leaper: Cocoon is a brand new tactical auto-battler with a fun mix of art styles. It goes between a clean anime style, to some fluid 3D animated models, to adorable pixel art during most of the battles. That being said, the Gacha system is the main way to gain units.

With all games, units are not created equal. There are characters that are head and shoulders above others. Some key units in the S tier are Queena and X. For the A tier, Fai and Moon. Queena and Fai are on the limited banner right now with increased pull odds, so they're great to try to go for early.
Now, generally speaking, we recommend really not going for anything lower than B-tier units. S-tier units are the best in the game, A is a little worse. B-tier units are decent options to get you through most of the game, but can generally be beaten by any in the above tiers.

C and D tier units are often useless and don't fill much utility and are generally just a waste of resources if you hold onto them for too long.. These you definitely want to stay clear from.

There's a total of 31 total characters right off the bat, which is nice and considering that there's a fair bit in S to B tiers, there are quite a few viable options to play with.
How do I get more Space Leaper: Cocoon units?
In order to get more units, as we mentioned there's a gacha system. The currency used to pull units is called Particle Pills, and be pulled in single or 10 pulls. There is a pity around 80 pulls. You can also purchase Particle Pills by using the paid currency, Diamonds. Each pull costs 200 Diamonds.
