October Player of the Month Update - Week 1
After the first week of October, there are already a few players staking their claim for the EPL Player of the Month Award.
Wesley - Aston Villa - 2 Goals & 1 Assist
With 2 Goals and 1 Assist in Aston Villa’s comprehensive 5-1 away win at Norwich, the Brazilian leads the race for October POTM at the moment. However, with Man City to come later this month, will he be able to hold onto the top spot?
Adama Traoré - Wolves - 2 Goals & MOTM
After netting 2 goals in Wolves’ impressive 2-0 away win at Man City, Adama is certainly up there for the award. Upcoming games against Southampton and Newcastle this month may give him a good shot at winning the prize.
Aaron Connolly - Brighton - 2 Goals & MOTM
A very impressive performance from the 19 year old saw him net a brace at the weekend against a struggling Spurs team. Games against Aston Villa and Everton this month could provide the platform for more goals!
Conor Hourihane - Aston Villa - 1 Goal & 1 Assist
Another Villa inclusion after their 5-1 win at Norwich, Conor Hourihane grabbed a goal and an assist from central midfield at the weekend.
James Milner - Liverpool - 1 Goal & 1 Assist
After assisting Sadio Mane’s goal and scoring a 95th minute winning penalty against Leicester, James Milner’s performance at the weeking may not only be a big step towards securing the October POTM award, but also some vital points for the title race.
Raul Jiménez - Wolves - 2 Assists
The Wolves striker gets on the list with his brace of assists against Man City at the weekend. A couple of goals against Newcastle and Southampton later this month could easily get him up there for the award this month.
Marquee Matchups Week 4 Prediction
Every Thursday on FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, a group of SBCs based on important games in the coming week are released, allowing users to complete them for desirable pack rewards. This week, with European Qualifiers being at the forefront of competitive games, this is my selection:
Czech Republic - England
A top of the table clash for Group A, can easily see this fixture being included.
France - Turkey
With France and Turkey both battling for that top spot in Group H, I’d expect this fixture to feature in the weeks’ Marquee Matchups.
Sweden - Spain
Despite Spain topping Group F by 7 points, Sweden are battling it out for that 2nd qualification place in the group, a massive game for them.
Italy - Greece
With the Italians topping group J in commanding fashion, it will be interesting to see if they can continue their dominance over a Greek side that have lost 3 out of the last 4 matches.
