Now that Halo Infinite has a release date, fans have been curious about how the final product is going to end up, especially with the lack of information surrounding the campaign and the big focus on multiplayer, though that also has fans wondering if we’re going to get a Halo Infinite Battle Royale.
We already know that Halo: Infinite is going to have a Free-to-Play version of its multiplayer coming out, making fans wonder if a battle royale mode will be part of the main title or in the aforementioned F2P release; either way, it’s going to be a hefty download if 343 adds the popular mode to the game.
Halo Infinite Could Receive A Battle Royale Mode
Some datamines have suggested that a Halo Infinite Battle Royale is definitely in the realm of possibility, as it’s data that was found in the game’s beta, though Microsoft and 343 Studios have yet to comment on the matter.
Considering the aforementioned Free-to-Play multiplayer of Halo Infinite will be released, we wouldn’t be surprised if this supposed Battle Royale ends up being a part of that, though it could also be an exclusive feature to the main game.
While there’s a certain stigma regarding Battle Royale games, there’s no denying that the genre is still something that a lot of gamers are interested in and that could be enough to make new players give Halo Infinite a chance.
Granted, Halo Infinite is the sixth mainline game in the series, so we wouldn’t say it will be the perfect jumping-on point for players, but that probably won’t matter if they skip the single-player campaign and head straight to the multiplayer.
Halo Infinite will be coming to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 8.
