The introduction of AI combatants in Warzone 2 divided the opinions of players dropping into Call of Duty's latest battle royale offering. Joining real-life players in Al Mazrah are computer-controlled soldiers and many are asking one simple question. Does Ashika Island have AI?
There are fans that enjoy dealing with even more opponents over the course of a match but there are several that want AI removed altogether. Season Two introduces a wealth of new features including the return of the 1v1 gulag and a Resurgence map providing a faster pace of play.
Before we reveal if Ashika Island has any AI on the map, take a look at our guides showcasing the current Warzone 2 meta and all there is to know about the Season Two early patch notes.
Does Ashika Island have AI?
Yes, the Ashika Island map playing host to the return of Resurgence will feature AI combatants when you drop into the action. For some, eliminating bots is a surefire way of earning some XP and your loadouts as fast as possible but on the other hand, they're a major inconvenience and stop you from scoring high-kill games.

It's unclear how the presence of AI will impact the pace of Resurgence matches, so we'll have to wait and see if the community approves of AI or wants to get rid of the soldiers.
Is Ashika Island a good map?
As Ashika Island is much smaller than the vast expanse of Al Mazrah, the map will have a faster pace and less camping which is great news if you're not a fan of campers hiding in a building for most of the match.
It's unclear if the map will have the same popularity as Rebirth Island or Fortune's Keep but we're hoping a new battleground is plenty of fun even with the presence of AI in some areas.
