Genshin Impact Candace materials - Ascension, level, and talent material farming locations

Newcomer Candace will be available in her own Genshin Impact banner soon, and we've written a guide on which Genshin Impact Candace materials you'll need to fully ascend her and level up her talents in time for it. She's a Hydro polearm user, and will likely be a very strong support.

Each character in Genshin Impact comes to you as level one and can be brought all the way up to level 90. This cap may rise in future updates, but for now, there are six levels of ascension to collect materials for, and ten talent levels. Given we've gone a couple of years now without a level increase, expect the work you put in now to last a long while yet.

Genshin Impact Candace materials - What boss materials does Candace use?

Candace, as a Hydro vision user, will need the easily-obtained Varunada Lazurite, as well as a lot of new Sumeru items.

In terms of totals, this is how many of each item we're looking at:

What are Candace's Talent materials?

Candace's talents include not only her polearm, but her shield as a weapon too. Her normal attacks include a shield bash which can send enemies flying, and if you hold it, it becomes an attack-resistant shield. Her burst deals Hydro damage (which scales with her max HP level), and allows other teammates to use Hydro elemental damage as well.

Similar to her Ascension materials, Candace requires materials from new Sumeru domains to level up her talents:

Material farming locations

• Varunada Lazurite Gems
  • These gems pertain to Hydro characters and are dropped by mostly Hydro bosses, such as the Oceanid, Hydro Hypostasis, Stormterror, and Tartaglia.
• Henna Berry, was named Redcrest
  • A new fruit, found in Sumeru's desert. They're found on tall cacti, which are climbable and spawn in flat, sandy areas. There is often only one fruit per plant, so these may take a while to collect.
• Light Guiding Tetrahedron
  • These are new drops from a boss coming to Genshin 3.1: the Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network. This can be found in the South of the Hypostyle Desert.
• Faded Red Satin, Trimmed Red Silk, Rich Red Brocade
  • Eremite enemies will drop these items, and they can be crafted into the later two stages. Eremites will spawn all across Sumeru.
• Teachings of, Guide to, Philosophies of Admonition
  • Admonition tablets are new Talent Level-Up Materials found in the Sumeru domain, Steeple of Ignorance, on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
• Tears of the Calamitous God
  • This item is a specific drop from the weekly boss fight in the Trounce Domain 'End of the Oneiric Euthymia'. It is against the Raiden Shogun's form named Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto, and must be unlocked through the Raiden Shogun's second story quest.
• Crowns of Insight
  • Used to upgrade Combat Talents from level 9 to level 10, you can get these from upgrading the Frostbearing Tree, Sacred Sakura, and Lumenstone Adjuvant, but they are often included in event rewards, too.
