Wondering when the Genshin Impact banner schedule will welcome the next lot of gacha goodness? Hoyoverse’s megahit just keeps rolling out the new characters every few months, and it looks like that’s going to be the case at least until August at this rate.
While character information and run dates are always subject to change, we do have a solid idea of what’s up next and enough information to speculate about what may come later. This guide explains everything we know about the next Genshin Impact banners, including the five- and four-star characters to expect.

Genshin Impact Banner Schedule
Due to recent, unexpected delays, we don't have any official release dates for upcoming banners. The current banner - The Heron's Court - is extended until further notice for Mihoyo to catch up.
- Genshin Impact 2.7 banner: Unknown
- Genshin Impact 2.8 banner: Unknown
- Genshin Impact 2.9 banner: Unknown
There's still uncertainty over whether 2.9 will exist at all or if Hoyoverse will shift right into Sumeru and the 3.0 update.
What’s The Current Genshin Impact Banner?
The current banner is part two of the 2.6 update and features the first Ayaka rerun. Sayu and a few other popular four-star characters feature as well. Mistsplitter Reforged headlines the weapon banner, along with a useful, if situational, five-star claymore.
What’s The Next Genshin Impact Banner?
The next banner is the first Genshin Impact 2.7 banner set, which has been paused for the time being. The five-star character is Yelan, a hydro bow user, and the new four-star character is Kuki Shinobu, an Electro sword fighter who heals and damages with her skills.
The weapon banners are yet to be revealed, though it’s pretty much a given that the Aqua Simulacra bow will feature in the first one since it’s practically built for Yelan. A free weapon will potentially be up for grabs outside the banner, though there’s no word on Kuki Shinobu’s sword.
Future Genshin Impact Banners
The future is a bit murky after that point. Prevailing wisdom from Ubatcha says there won’t be any new five-star characters until Sumeru releases sometime over the summer. However, one Inazuman character is reportedly still awaiting release - Heizou, a detective with the Tenryou Commission.
Very little is known about him, including how he actually looks. Hoyoverse may be holding Heizou back for release after the first batch of Sumeru characters.
We'll keep this Genshin Impact banner schedule updated with any new learnings from the next beta and beyond, but for now, check out the Genshin Impact tier list to see who stacks up in April.
