July 29: Nilou has been confirmed in a new trailer for Sumeru.

Another recently leaked, and now confirmed Genshin Impact character hailing from the Sumeru region is Nilou - a redhead girl dressed in blue.

The Sumeru region is the next big area coming to Genshin, following the release of the Inazuma islands. This is said to be the home of Dendro, and will finally bring Dendro Vision users to the game. Remember, all of the information here is leaked and unconfirmed.

Genshin Impact - Nilou Release Date

Nilou has been penciled in to release alongside Cyno at some stage in the 3.0 and later versions of Genshin Impact: specifically, 3.1 or 3.2. As a probable 5-Star, she will have her own banner.

What Is Nilou's Elemental Vision?

Hydro is dubbed to be Nilou's Elemental Vision. Her kit and build are likely to focus on the Dendro and Hydro reaction, Overgrown. This reaction spawns seeds on the battlefield which bloom into mushrooms, dealing AoE Dendro damage.

We can't quite see her Vision in the Sumeru Preview Teaser, but all her jewelry is blue and the same kind of pattern, so we assume it is Hydro.

What Weapon Does Nilou Use?

In terms of weapon, allegedly Nilou will wield a sword. This would make her the third Hyrdo Sword user alongside Xingqiu and Kamisato Ayato.

What Are Nilou's Skills?

As of yet there is no information as to Nilou's skills and abilities. Earlier leaks suggested she was a healer, but this has now been retracted.

Who Is Nilou?

Nilou is a short female character model, like Yanfei, and has bright red hair with horns. Interestingly, the horns (cosmetic or natural) somewhat resemble those of Azhdaha.

Nilou is a dancer and performer in Sumeru, and is regarded as very talented in her craft. She is also seen as a rebel, however, given that Sumeru is the land of knowledge, which she has shunned to follow a creative career.
