Elden Ring players want the ability to spirit summon dragons and giant killer balls

Some enemies Elden Ring players would like to spirit summon.

While they may not have gotten the massive expansion announcement they wanted out of The Game Awards, Elden Ring players have still had new content to dig into, with the long-awaited Colosseum DLC providing a fresh challenge for those who consider boss battles to be a walk in the park.

However, it seems some of them are already on their way to mastering the arena, having resorted to using a dance pad or cosplay build to spice things up or abandoned PVP in favour of attempting feats like trying to beat the game on two screens at once.

Though, not all of those residing in The Lands Between are elite fighters, with some declaring their desire for the game to let them spirit summon enemies that are currently off limits.

Do you wish Elden Ring’s spirit summon system covered some extra enemies?

Their aspirations form the subject of a thread on the subreddit r/eldenring, which began with a post from user LeoShun08, who kicked things off by asking: “(Which) regular enemy do you wish we had the ability to summon as a spirit?”

Their fellow Tarnished were quick to put forth an array of suggestions, with user Kinglyzero_91 saying: “Technically, the ancient dragons in Farum Azula are regular enemies.”, umbralkyo declaring: “(A) Nox ant rider would be niche but cool.” and LordOfEdge95 simply uttering the word “Runebear.”

On the other hand, a few users decided to nominate some of the game’s stranger denizens, with Marq_DeSade proclaiming their desire to be flanked by a pair of giant Silver Spheres, leading another user to add: “Unironically would be so fun in the Colosseum. Imagine a six-player free for all with twelve giant balls battling it out.”

Meanwhile, user Disastrous-Resident5 went straight back to the power well, nominating: “The giant skeleton summons that you see in Consecrated Snowfield, (which) shoot a hyper beam from Pokémon.”, to which firedancer323 replied: “I expected a big rune payday for those and it was almost a controller breaker when I saw you get none.”

Meanwhile, one group of players seemed like they’d be more at home playing Goat Simulator, with user judomadonna coming out in favour of: “Roly poly goats.” and Aesthetic_Designer adding: “Yes, it should spawn nine of them.”
