Alien biomes were introduced in Fortnite Season 7. These areas register high alien activity. But what is so special about them? And where do you find an alien biome in Fortnite?
Before we go on into further details about this new biome, I'm not sure if it will still last in Fortnite Season 8.
It's a fun little biome to experiment in, and you can come up with some really interesting plays in such areas.
What is an alien biome in Fortnite?
As mentioned before, an alien biome is a space dominated by mostly alien invaders. These regions sport a low level of gravity.
Not only that, you'll find alien trespassers armed with the Kymera ray gun here. You will also come across some alien tech weapons in these areas too.
Alien plants dominate the zone. And most importantly, you'll find alien parasites and wildlife infected by alien parasites in these zones.
These alien biomes in Fortnite are demarcated by high walls with a purple-ish texture. Once you enter them, you'll hear an eerie music playing.
Not only that, you will be able to fly high in these zones. And you can practically build anywhere inside an alien biome, even in mid air.
That being said, where do you find an alien biome in Fortnite?
Where do you find an alien biome in Fortnite?
There are two specific places where you will be able to find an alien biome in Fortnite.
The first is at Holly Hatchery. This POI was renamed to Holly Hatchery after the aliens took over it.
It all started with the big location in the middle and then slowly the surrounding houses started succumbing to the alien invasion.
The second location is within the alien Mothership itself. Although you won't see any alien life inside there, it still is an alien biome.
There's low gravity all around, allowing you to float your way through. Not only that, you'll find remnants of the abducted sites in there too.
Oddly enough, not just Holly Hatchery, but any location on the map that has a purple coloration is regarded as an alien biome. These purple blotches usually feature alien vegetation too.
These areas don't have a region of low gravity, unlike Holly Hatchery. They just have alien trees. That being said, these are the areas where you need to deploy scanners for the Fortnite Week 12 challenge.
There are six odd locations where you can deploy these scanners, but only two should suffice. The image below will help you spot those locations.
However, that's not it. You can also create an alien biome for yourself. All you need to do is toss an alien nanite on the ground and that should do the trick.
However, keep in mind that the alien biome formed by this is just temporary. So exercise caution while using it.
Now that you know where to find alien biomes in Fortnite, all you need to do is deal damage to opponents and you end up completing a Fortnite Season 7 Week 11 challenge.
