While it may sound easy, mastering traversal is key to success in Fall Guys. Some levels rely on your ability to climb over obstacles, and fail to do so can result in an avoidable elimination. Therefore, we'll give you some tips to make sure that doesn't happy, giving you a clear path to success.

How to climb in Fall Guys

Climbing is tied to the same button input as grabbing. Therefore, you'll need to press R1 on PS4, RT on Xbox, ZR on Nintendo Switch, and Shift on PC.

It can be a tad tricky to get the timing right at first, but most non-moving platforms are up for grabs (literally). Simply sprint towards them as fast as your bean character can move, and hold on tight to the grab button while jumping. That should launch you slightly higher than usual, letting you traverse obstacles that may be in the way.

Equally, some levels within Fall Guys require you to climb for any chance of winning. Certain levels such as Fall Mountain have obstructions that you must climb over to progress. Therefore, it's something you'll definitely want to become familiar with.

Any surfaces with white stripes aren't able to be climbed though, so be careful! The last thing you want is to be caught out by a decoy ledge, putting you in the line of fire for elimination.
