Frequently Asked Questions About 144hz Monitors

When it comes to finding a 144hz monitor, we've found that there are a few questions that pop up, and we're here to answer them!

Is A 144hz monitor worth it?

The big thing nowadays when it comes to gaming, in particular, is the refresh rate. Some slogans like 'frames win games' are being floated around, and with good reason...a higher frame rate can give you the edge.

There are a number of comparisons online which show movement in slow-motion at different fps, and it's very noticeable between 60fps and 120fps for example.

If you're playing competitively, we'd say it's absolutely worth getting a 144hz monitor and trying it for yourself.

Whether high refresh rates really matter though, we'll leave up to you!

How much should you spend on a 144hz monitor?

Since 144hz monitors aren't usually 4K, unless you count some of the HDMI 2.1 monitors on the market, you can save some money as you'll be getting FHD or QHD resolution on a smaller screen.

For 1080p smaller screens at 144hz, we'd say a good amount would be in between $200 - $300, with QHD at a slightly bigger size coming in around $350 - $450.

That being said, you can get some cracking 144hz monitors for less or more on either side of these brackets, so explore and weigh up your options!
