Now formally confirmed, that PSN listing does provide a few key details. One of them is the Lost Judgment release date, which is set for fall 2021. It’ll come in at least two editions, though as yet, we don’t know what each one will include.
However, the digital deluxe promises early access, something Sega’s been keen on doing with its recent releases in the West as well. Here's everything we know so far.
Lost Judgment - Release Date
Lost Judgment releases in September 2021. Those who purchase the digital deluxe edition will get early access to the game on September 21 - in Japan at least. Otherwise, it'll launch on September 24 as a worldwide release.
Lost Judgment - Platforms
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed Lost Judgment will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Despite Judgment Remastered launching on PC, Sega hasn't confirmed any plans yet for the sequel to follow.
Lost Judgment - Editions
Lost Judgment will have a digital deluxe edition, though it's not clear yet whether it'll also have a special physical edition. The Deluxe Edition will include a Season Pass, which will have its own DLC story expansion.
Lost Judgment - Story Details
It'll once again feature detective Takayuki Yagami, who'll be investigating another mysterious murder mystery - one considered to be an impossible crime - with ex-yakuza partner Masaharu Kaito.
Sega has confirmed we'll be exploring Kamurocho once more, alongside Yokohama, the latter having served as the primary setting for Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Lost Judgment - Gameplay Changes
During the Judgment Day stream, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio outlined several gameplay improvements. There's greater focus on the detective elements, including improved chasing and tailing sequences, alongside stealth options and a few platforming sections.
Yagami's also gained some new fighting abilities and a third fighting style called Snake, which focuses mainly on counterattacks. He can also ride around town with a skateboard now, which is excellent.
