When they’re not creating picture-perfect houses resembling the Love Island villa or having werewolf graduation ceremonies, Sims players also recreate all manner of celebrities and characters in sim form.

Whether it’s a sim resembling Archduke Franz Ferdinand or a family of Keanu Reeves clones with children named Reanu Keeves, their imaginations truly know no bounds.

Even so, the latest in this conveyor belt of wacky creations might surprise you a little, with a fairly iconic animated character just having arrived in Simville.

One Sims Player Should Be Taken Far Far Away

This is the subject of a recent thread in the subreddit r/thesims, which began with a post from user DinghyRequester featuring an image of their creation, which they captioned: “Recreated Princess Fiona in The Sims 3.”

Reception to their sim-version of Shrek’s Cameron Diaz voiced love interest was mostly positive, with user JennaSize saying: “that's pretty spot on…damn” and meraru99 adding: “This is literally iconic.”

User danishjuggler21 was less complimentary, saying: “You were so busy trying to figure out if you could you never stopped to ask whether you should.”

Meanwhile, user Youarethecarbon decided that the thread was the perfect place to take a shot at American actress Danielle Fishel, whom they believe looks like Princess Fiona.

Random roasting of actresses aside, at least the reaction to the Princess Fiona sim was slightly more wholesome than the response to one particularly attractive Sims 4 sim created by user OnkeIiroh, which was also posted recently.

The latter sim was sadly the harbinger of a Reddit thread full of uses referring to him as ‘Daddy’ and comparing him to a host of Hollywood hunks, plus Red Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan, with user Impossible_Raisin926 testifying that the sim could be a “yassified” version of the cowboy.
