Rainbow Six Siege is getting some awesome new content before the release of Season 2 in Year 6.
The "Apocalypse" event that was teased a while back is finally live, but it won't last for long.
Here's everything you need to know.
The Rainbow Six Siege Apocalypse event is live now and lasts through May 18.
Ubisoft has tweeted with a start date with some new content.
This is the same "Apocalypse" event that was leaked a while ago.
From what we've seen so far, it's hard to tell what Ubisoft has planned.
We'll have to wait for more information from the developers regarding the future of Rainbow Six.
Outback Map Revamp
Footage leaked on Reddit yesterday of the upcoming map that'll be used in the event.
The Outback map received a revamp, or perhaps a demake would be more appropriate.
It's got an entirely new dystopian look to fit the theme of the apocalypse, a giant reactor, and one very important plant that holds humanity's future in its little leaves.
Rainbow Six Siege Apocalypse Gameplay
During the Apocalypse event, you'll play as either The Keepers, good folks who want to preserve life, or The Warband, baddies who take what they can get.
Defenders try and protect the plant and can move its container around the map, while Defenders need to defuse the container to win.
Or one side can just wipe out the other, because that works too.
Rainbow Six Siege Apocalypse Event Skins
The Rainbow Six Siege Apocalypse event skins revolve around wasteland/fallout looks for each Operator.
You'll find these in Operator Bundles for1680 R6 credits or Apocalypse Packs, which you can get for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
The event also includes exclusive skins and charms, though they're random drops from packs received for playing the game.
