11 October 2021 -

The Pokémon GO Halloween Event returns this week, starting on Friday, October 15, 2021.

Hopefully this week we'll see some more details on the potential costumed Pokémon set to return as well as which Pokémon will be appearing more in the wild.

Who knows, we might get some more details about the new Halloween-themed Special Research story. More details to come soon no doubt!

7 October 2021 -

We've got our first teaser from Pokémon GO for Galarian Slowking who looks to be coming with the Halloween event. Take a look below:

When is the Pokémon GO Halloween event start date?

The Pokémon GO Halloween event 2021 will start on Friday, October 15, 2021.

The event will last for two weeks, ending on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

What is the Pokémon GO Halloween Special Research?

As with most Pokémon GO events, the Halloween event will likely include some Special Research. We don’t know exactly what this will entail, but we’ll keep this guide up to date as soon as we know more.

What are the Pokémon GO Halloween Raid Bosses?

Expect to see a lot of Ghost- and Dark- type Pokémon in raids during this event. We might see the return of costumed Gengar, or Darkrai as a legendary Pokémon GO raid boss.

As for counters, Ghost-types are weak to Dark-type Pokémon, so the likes of Tyranitar will be perfect. Dark-type Pokémon are weak to Bug-, Fighting-, and Fairy-types, so we’d recommend brushing off a few Machamp, Terrakion, and Togekiss to see you through.

What are the Pokémon GO Halloween spawns?

Much like the raid bosses for this event, we’re expecting Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon to appear more frequently in the wild. They will also be attracted to Incense and probably Lures, although the special Lures will still attract their respective types of Pokémon.

That’s everything we know about Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2021 event. Prepare your fighters and be ready to get spooked.
