Despite the fact that Giovanni is nowhere to be seen, there are plenty of raid bosses to tackle and field research tasks to complete - and now exciting Community Days to look forward to. Pokémon GO's Duskull Community Day is in line with the spooky season and of course, will tie in with the Halloween events that are now considered traditional in the AR game.
Many fans will be disappointed that this Community Day isn't for Litwick, but Duskull is a similarly spooky sprite - if not spookier.
When Is Pokémon GO Duskull Community Day?
Duskull Community Day takes place on October 9, from 11:00 to 17:00 local time. Duskull will be spawning more often in the wild, and your chances of running into a shiny Duskull will be greatly increased.
Duskull Community Day Bonuses
Here are the Duskull Community Day bonuses:
- 3× Catch Stardust
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- 30 free Ultra Balls in the shop
Triple Stardust is one of the best bonuses for Community Days, so if you're running low or need to power up some monsters for GO Battle League, grinding Duskull Community Day will be the best place to start! Get those Star Pieces activated and reel in the rewards.
What is Duskull's Evolution?
Duskull evolves into Dusclops by using 25 candy, and then into Dusknoir by using 100 candy and a Sinnoh Stone.
What Is the Duskull Community Day Exclusive Move?
Evolve Dusclops during Community Day (or up to two hours after) to get a Dusknoir that knows the exclusive move Shadow Ball.
Shadow Ball is a powerful Ghost-type move that is an improvement on Dusknoir's current options.
You can't use Fast TMs or Charged TMs to teach your current Dusknoir the featured move on the day. Only Dusknoir evolved on the day can learn Shadow Ball.
Best Dusknoir Moveset
Dusknoir has a little usefulness in GO Battle League, but is outclassed by the likes of Giratina and even Mewtwo in Master League or raids. Here's the best Dusknoir moveset:
Fast Move: Hex
Charge Move: Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse
You could opt for Ominous Wind as a spammy move that has a chance to raise your stats, but Shadow Ball is a better option purely for its damage output, in our opinion.
Nothin' Dull About Duskull Special Research
The Nothin' Dull About Duskull Special Research will cost $1 (or equivalent). We don't know a lot about it just yet, but we'll update this guide as soon as we know what rewards it offers. Hopefully there are more treats than tricks.
There will also be an exclusive Community Day box available in the store, which will cost 1,280 Coins and give you 50 Ultra Balls, four Incense, four Star Pieces, and an Elite Charged TM.
That's all we know about the Pokémon GO Duskull Community Day at present, so roll on October!
