Monster Hunter Rise Reaches New Sales Milestone With 7.5 Million Copies Shipped


Capcom's reached a new major milestone, announcing that Monster Hunter Rise has sold 7.5 million copies worldwide on Nintendo Switch, as of September 24th.

Speaking through a press release, Capcom highlighted the game's milestone alongside awards won by Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 3. While the former won the Grand Award in the Games of the Year Division, the latter nabbed the Award for Excellence during the Japan Game Awards: 2021.

Specifically, the Monster Hunter Rise segment stated:

In addition to new monsters and locales, Monster Hunter Rise provides a completely fresh take on the hunting experience through a host of new, exhilarating hunting actions made possible with the Wirebug as well as with the debut of new “canyne” hunting partners called Palamutes, all of which garnered acclaim from players, resulting in shipments of more than 7.5 million units worldwide.

Since launching last March, Monster Hunter Rise has seen significant sales on the Nintendo Switch. Reaching 7.3 million sales by August, it became one of Capcom's biggest profit drivers during Q1 2021, making Monster Hunter Rise one of Capcom's best-selling games to date.
