Monster Hunter Rise And Resident Evil Village Influence Capcom's Best Ever Q1 Profits

Capcom has released financial results for the first quarter (April 1-June 30) of the financial year and the company has announced its most successful quarter yet.

Net sales are up 104.1% year-over-year while operating profits have increased 120.4% year-over-year, both are Capcom's highest results recorded for the first quarter of any financial year.

These sales are driven by the commercial success garnered by Resident Evil Village, which has sold 4.5 million copies so far, and Monster Hunter Rise, which has shipped over 7 million units worldwide.

Altogether, 13.3 million units of consoles games have been shipped worldwide, presenting a 44.6% increase from the previous year's Q1.

These results don't even include Monster Hunter Stories 2, which has already delivered an impressive 1 million copies, just three weeks since its release in July.
