Today's the day, Patch 11.20 is set to drop in the next 24 hours. You'd think this close to release we wouldn't have any new info to share, but that's not the case.

Riot has announced some more Visual Effects (VFX) updates are coming to the game and this time it's Syndra's turn.

Our aim is to get their VFXs to current League standards and improve gameplay clarity...Just like all the previous ones, and since these are smaller updates geared toward sprucing up some of the oldest members of the roster, they aren't in the same prioritization conversation as to how we decide who gets a VGU (where we take model, gameplay, and thematic into account too!): they do not affect any other timeline, and are simply dev passion projects.

You'll find the full list of updates on this Reddit thread. But otherwise, you can preview some of these changes on the below video.

4 October 2021 -

League of Legends 11.20 update is set to drop this week on Wednesday, October 6. As noted before, this is likely to be a pretty basic update to the game, as the devs have already got everything sorted in terms of World's, which is being played on 11.19.

That said, we could see some more substantial changes with League of Legends 11.30, which should come to the PBE this week following the live release of 11.20. Who knows we might see a few more spooky additions to the game to celebrate Halloween and the Harrowing.

29 September 2021 -

The League of Legends 11.20 full patch preview has been confirmed.

As per Phlox (@RiotPhlox), a designer on the Summoner's Rift team: "We cut Senna and LDR from this patch after looking deeper into their data. Reminder - Worlds patch was 11.19, last patch."

You can see the full patch notes, champion changes, item changes and more further down the page.

28 September 2021 -

Riot outlines Irelia nerfs and Udyr buffs plus so much more in their League of Legends patch 11.20 preview.

It's worth remembering that Patch 11.20 will not be a part of the Worlds Championship 2021.

As per Riot: "Now that worlds is locked in we're back to a more normal patch. We're following up on a few changes that overshot a bit and otherwise doing some adjustments for soloq champs."

All in all, it looks like 11.20 will feature minor balance tweaks.

27 September 2021 -

Just a reminder that the new Patch Notes and Champion Changes haven't been shared just yet! But keep checking back in the coming days as we suspect they'll arrive very soon.

League of Legends Patch 11.20 - Balance Changes

As noted previously, League of Legends Patch 11.18 and 11.19 were pretty sizeable in that they were shaking up the game ahead of Worlds 2021. We suspect that 11.20 will be a slightly more mellow patch for the game with far less changes. Or at least, changes which are maybe less radical.

Below you'll find all changes confirmed by the dev team. Although as you can see, there's nothing to note just yet, hopefully, we'll learn more about 11.20 following the release of 11.19 on live servers.

Upcoming Renger Changes

Riot has also outlined some potential changes coming for Rengar who will have a mini rework in the future.

Developer RiotPhlox has given fans a small update on the potential changes to Rendar in a Twitter thread, which you can read below:

Hey all, Rengar’s getting some deep rescripting/cleanup right now which should squash a lot of bugs, but it’ll take a fair bit of time to finish up. I’m sinking any spare time I’ve got from preseason into Rengar and I'll let y'all know when we've locked down his patch date. 1/5
We tend not to show projects like this so early in dev because it often takes a while to finish and ship them. Rengar still needs to go through QA/polish/etc (and I'll also probs try a few more fun iterations) so don’t expect his changes to be out for a while yet! 2/5
Thanks a ton for waiting and for all the feedback you’ve given so far. I really do want to get Rengar to you ASAP! In the meantime, I’m still more than glad to read all the feedback and ideas. I've seen a lot of exciting pitches floating around. 3/5
I’d also especially love to hear what animation/VFX/SFX issues you’ve been running into or wish you could change and why. I really really can’t guarantee anything, but I’m all ears to see what y’all want and see what we can do from there. 4/5
Also, the Ironspike Whip animation bugfix will be in 11.20 since it can ship separately which is nice. 5/5

For now, this is all the information available regarding update 11.20 in League of Legends. We will keep updating this page as more information is made available on the PBE servers.
