Although most League of Legends players have one eye on the 2021 World Championship and the next big update, it's hard to ignore that there's a certain chill in the air; and that means Halloween events!

Since the first League Harrowing event in 2010, Riot Games has ensured to provide LOL players with an updated version of the event every year during Halloween. Harrowing introduces various new skins, game modes, and more with every new iteration of this event.

As such, it's expected that the Halloween event will return to League of Legends in 2021 too. With October starting this week, hopefully, we'll see some spooky teasers soon for this year's event, and here's everything we know about the event so far.

Considering the fact that Riot Games hasn't revealed any information about Harrowing 2021 with less than a week to go for Halloween, it seems like there might not be a season event after all. However, the introduction of the Dragonmancer skin series does have a spooky aura about it.

Having said that, the community can only wait for an official release from the developers at this point. Nevertheless, we all hope that there will be a Harrowing in-game event in 2021 as well.

League of Legends Patch 11.20 is set for release this week and hopefully, with it we'll get more info on what to expect when it comes to Halloween events in LoL. We suspect the Harrowing won't arrive until the next update, Patch 11.30 released on October 20.

Harrowing Game Modes

There have been two custom game modes for Harrowing in League of Legends. Considering the release of the Ultimate Spellbook game mode with update 11.14, it seems highly unlikely for Riot Games to introduce another game mode for the Halloween-themed event in League of Legends.

However, considering "The Teemoing" and "Doom Bots of Doom" game modes from previous iterations of the Halloween event, it wouldn't entirely be a surprise if Riot Games does introduce a new game mode for Harrowing 2021.

New Halloween-themed cosmetics

Ranging from new Emotes and Runes to a new map layout and Summoner Icons, Harrowing has been known to feature a bunch of interactive Halloween-themed content. Although Riot Games is yet to confirm the content that they have planned for Harrowing 2021, it is safe to say that this halloween event in LoL will be a spooky treat for the entire community.
