Warzone 2 is out now and there's one question on the minds of those that have already purchased some COD Points in Modern Warfare 2. Do COD Points transfer to Warzone 2? The latest instalment of the battle royale is here and comes with an all-new weapon arsenal and a wealth of cosmetic items to purchase.

The in-game currency enables players to buy anything ranging from a new Operator skin to the battle pass packed with 100 tiers of content to unlock. Although you can purchase them through the Warzone store once the game goes live, many already have plenty of points stacked up in Modern Warfare 2 and the first instalment of Warzone.

Will COD Points transfer to Warzone 2?

Until Activision states anything different, COD Points will transfer from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone into Warzone 2 when the battle royale launches.

However, if you're looking to make the move to PC from console, your COD Points are locked to the platform you bought them on. This means you can't spend them on PC if you decide to switch.

Do skins transfer to Warzone 2?

For those who have gathered a huge collection of skins and weapon blueprints and are hoping they transfer over to Warzone 2, it's bad news. Activision confirms skins and blueprints acquired on Warzone won't transfer over to Warzone 2 meaning you have to start your collection from scratch.

How to purchase Warzone 2 COD Points

Purchasing COD Points in Warzone 2 is a very straightforward process. Just like the previous Warzone, head to the in-game store and select the number of points you want to buy. The most popular amount is 2400 COD Points as most premium bundles are at this price. They cost £16.79 ($18.55) across all platforms.

To summarise, COD Points will transfer to Warzone 2 from Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 but they'll remain on the platform you bought them on. So, if you want to move from an Xbox to a PlayStation, the points will remain on Xbox so spend them otherwise they'll go to waste.
