How to get loadout in Warzone 2

How to get a Warzone 2 loadout is a hot topic of conversation as players drop into Call of Duty's latest battle royale extravaganza. Compared to the first iteration of Warzone, it's much harder to obtain your favourite weapons over a match.

With Season One underway, there are numerous ways to get your hands on a loadout. Some methods are more straightforward than others but having a range of options does spice up the game.

How to get Warzone 2 loadout guns

The process of obtaining a Warzone 2 loadout gun is relatively straightforward. Buy stations enable players to purchase a weapon complete with a set of five attachments. Visit a buy station during a match, select the weapon tab, and choose which one you need to dominate the opposition.

How to get a Warzone 2 loadout drop

Unlike the first Warzone, there's no way to purchase a loadout drop meaning there's no need to grab plenty of cash and head to a nearby buy station at the start of a match.

Instead, buy stations only contain the option to purchase a primary weapon from your loadouts. But, there's still a chance to get your hands on a fully-fledged loadout containing your preferred weapons and a perk package providing further advantages.

The second method involves completing an AI-controlled stronghold. By eliminating the combatants and becoming the first team to defuse the explosives, you and the rest of your squadmates earn a loadout drop and a UAV to reveal any nearby opposition.

Will Warzone 2 loadout drops return to buy stations?

Depending on how the pace of a Warzone 2 match evolves over time, there's always a possibility of Infinity Ward introducing loadout drops into the buy station menus.

Considering each station contains a limited stock of each item, having one loadout drop in each one wouldn't create endless loadout drop spam seen on Caldera and the latter days of Verdansk.

With plenty of ways to earn a loadout gun and a loadout drop, the likelihood of them returning to a buy station is slim but there's always a chance.
