Where Digipicks can be found in Starfield

Much like the game's currency, Digipicks are relatively easy to come by in Starfield. You are likely to encounter them organically as you work your way through the game. However, for those who want to stock up and are actively searching for them, there are a number of ways to guarantee you come across a few.

There are three basic methods to acquiring Digipicks: from vendors, by pickpocketing others, and by looting.

When you are low on Digipicks and come across a vendor, you can purchase from their stock at a varying rate, however these are generally around 35 credits each on average. They can be found in the Misc section of the vendor's store.

Outside of this, there is also the option to steal the futuristic lockpicks by pickpocketing others. This won't be available until you acquire the Theft Skill, but it is worth noting that this method is risky. An unsuccessful attempt will add a bounty to your name, which could result in being taken to prison.

Perhaps the most common and easiest way to stock up on Digipicks is via looting from the various locations you encounter on your space adventure. There are a number of different sources, all of which you'll find organically, ranging from dead bodies to lockers. Be sure to also check desks and tables, as you may find a few lying there for the taking.

What are Digipicks in Starfield?

Bethesda has taken the same principles from its previous titles by providing players with a challenge they must overcome to get through locked doors or into secure safes and caches. However, to fit in with Starfield's futuristic setting, lockpicks have been replaced with highly advanced Digipicks, which can be used to bypass security.

The locks you will encounter in the game's numerous planets will require players to use the key moulds on the right side of the screen to fill in the lock's gaps. They range in difficulty, starting at novice and gradually working up toward advanced and expert. By upgrading the Security skill, the more difficult locks will become available to crack.
