Med Packs in Starfield
September 13, 2023: Starfield is out now and we've updated our guide on where to buy Med Packs.

Starfield’s combat can get intense at times, and if you don't have a stock of Med Packs ready to go, you might have a hard time completing some quests. While the game does have tonnes of healing items throughout the game world, finding them can be tricky at times. If you are wondering where to buy Med Packs in Starfield, here are our recommendations.

Crafting Med Packs in Starfield isn't the only way to heal yourself, so we have some tips to help you get healing items without spending your credits as well. We also recommend looting all enemies and checking crates for medical supplies. While the early game doesn't give you a lot of medical supplies, you should get a steady supply of Med Packs in the later stages of the game through exploration alone.

Before we discuss the best ways to get Med Packs in Starfield, check out our guide on how to get XP fast in Starfield. We also have a list of quests in case you want some credits to purchase Med Packs for yourself. On top of that, you can browse our Starfield guides hub for plenty of advice on Bethesda's new RPG.

Where is the best place to buy Med Packs in Starfield?

Med Packs are priced at 500 credits each, and you can get them from random vendors all over the map. Our favourite Med Pack vendor is Talia O’Shea, who is located at The Well in New Atlantis. She helps out the needy and sells a whole bunch of medical supplies that will be useful for your journey.

How to craft healing items in Starfield

You don't necessarily need to buy Med Packs to heal yourself in Starfield. There are tons of other medicinal items that can help you on your journey, many of which you can craft. You will need access to a Pharmaceutical Lab to craft, so we recommend heading to the basement of The Lodge for all your crafting needs.

Can you craft Med Packs in Starfield?

It is not possible to craft Med Packs in Starfield, but you can get the Med Thief perk on weapons, which can be very useful. The perk gives you a fixed bonus chance to get Med Packs upon killing enemies. While it might not be the most optimal weapon perk to run around with, having it on one of your weapons as a backup option can be handy in sticky situations.
