March 23, 2023 - Official details on the Paldea Evolved set have now been revealed.

Set to release in the middle of 2023 is the Pokemon TCG Paldea Evolved set. Delayed out from its originally scheduled release earlier in the year, we've prepared a guide for you on what to expect from the set that's squeezing two mini Japanese releases into one. Which isn't an unusual thing in the world of the Pokemon TCG.

The name, Paldea Evolved, might come as a surprise to long-standing TCG collectors. It's the first time the name of a region in a main series game has been used in a TCG set. Not that it makes much difference, but it's a fun fact nontheless.

As we look forward to the release of the English set, feel free to check out our Pokemon TCG Classic release date guide. We also have a Pokemon GO Regieleki counters and weakness article, which could help you in Elite Raids to come.

  • 15 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards

As we don't have a full set list yet for Paldea Evolved, be sure to stay tuned once we bring out news on the upcoming roster of cards and full inclusions of Pokemon TCG Paldea Evolved. Here's a little on what we're certain will release, though.

This new set likely serves to reference the Paldea starter evolutions as signature Pokemon EX cards.

For some information on the Paldea Evolved set list, Triplet Beat - one of the Japanese sets condensed into this one - reportedly includes EX cards of new Pokemon like Clodsire as well as a relatively old favorite Pokemon, Dedenne.

The Clay Burst and Snow Hazard sets are expected to feature gym leader Iono from the Paldea region. According to PokeBeach, both full art and illustrated rare cards of Iono will be featured in the release.
