Players are dropping into Modern Warfare 3's single-player campaign thanks to the campaign early access window going live ahead of the game's full launch. Featuring an extensive mission list, Sledgehammer Games' latest release also contains many trophies and achievements you can earn along the way. This particular level is an Open Combat Mission, meaning there are several ways to reach the end goal.

Modern Warfare 3 Crash Site walkthrough

Crash Site is the sixth full-length mission in Modern Warfare 3, we're not counting Passenger as it's only a few minutes long. Following the aftermath of Makarov's dastardly attack on the passenger plane, Farah and Alex are hoping to prove Urzikstan's innocence by reaching the site before the authorities and Konni Group.

Unfortunately, Konni Group have got their first, leading Farah to take drastic measures with Alex providing support.

First things first, Crash Site is an Open Combat Mission, giving you a wealth of different options when it comes to handling situations. Choose a stealthy approach or go in all guns blazing.

Search for mobile devices

To remain a low profile, head up the hill where you'll come across a solitary soldier that's very easy to eliminate without attracting too much attention. Next, you'll come across a small building close to the burning wreckage. Head around the back of the house and kill the two guards protecting the rear of the building.

With the area clear, head inside to start the search for the devices. The house is clear so head out the way you came to maintain a low profile. The bushes provide excellent cover when attempting to pick off a target.

On the other side is the first question mark. Interact with it to start piecing together what happened on the plane. The next two are close by. Repeat the process to finish this objective.

Find the flight recorder

The flight recorder will contain further clues as to why the plane crashed. Opposite the plane is another building where the next question mark is located. Make your way inside and into the room that has the door closed. Inside is a soldier so quick reaction times are necessary to avoid a death.

Hack the flight recorder on the table to corrupt it and ensure it's now useless to the enemy. Alex gives the all-clear over the radio but just as you're ready to regroup, Konni Group soldiers discover his position. Head up the hill and kill the three enemies holding him prisoner. Next, jump in the truck to exfil the area.
