Drizzt Do’Urden - Crispin Freeman
An accomplished voice actor perhaps best known recently for playing the affable ape Winston in Overwatch, Dark Alliance’s most famous character is played by Crispin Freeman. Freeman has a long history in games and VO work for animation, and in recent years has been in Last of Us 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and plenty more besides.
Bruenor Battlehammer - Andrew Morgado
Morgado is both an experienced voice actor and sound mixer/editor, working on the other side of the microphone so proficiently that he has two Emmy nominations for Sound Mixing and Editing. If his voice sounds familiar, he’s been the Narrator for the most recent series of America’s Most Wanted, Ravenov in Cold War, multiple characters in Godfall and the mysterious new ally Mithrax in Destiny 2.
Catti-Brie - Holly Gauthier-Frankel
Gauthier-Frankel has a whole range of impressive titles behind her, splitting her range between voice acting and on-camera performances as well. She’s appeared in varying roles in most of the Assassin’s Creed Games, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the show Zafari and she’s a regular as a range of voices on the beloved kids’ show Arthur.
Wulfgar - Jamieson Price
The party’s barbarian warrior is played by VO veteran Jamieson Price, famous for his booming voice and commanding presence. There’s no shortage of characters to tie him to, especially when it comes to anime: the Colonel in Akira, Sojiro in Persona 5, Metal Knight in One Punch Man, lots of characters in World of Warcraft, and even a good selection of the nemesis Orcs in Shadow of War.
Utaar Kelvinsson - Joe Manganiello
One of the most eye-catching names here and one we’ve discussed previously on Gfinity, actor Joe Manganiello plays the frost giant conqueror Utaar Kelvinsson. Manganiello has a famous love of Dungeons and Dragons; he’s been on Critical Role, contributed as a writer to recent D&D books, and been seen playing the show on the Big Bang Theory. You also might recognise him as the most recent Deathstroke for the DC cinematic universe, or as the bully Flash Thompson in the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man films.
Icewind - Nancy Linari
The arctic final boss of the game is played by stage, screen and voice actor Nancy Linari, who gamers might recognise as the voice of Aunt May in the recent Spider-Man games. She also appeared in the Amazon original show Bosch as the character Liz, and starred as the lead in a recent episode of Love, Death and Robots, battling a ferocious robot vacuum cleaner.
