How to assassinate the Warlord in Assassin's Creed Mirage

You can put down the Assassin's Creed Mirage Warlord target during a mission called Den of the Beast. This whole endeavour takes place in the Great Garrison in the eastern part of Karkh (which is also known as the Sharqiyah area).

How to enter the Great Garrison and avoid the guards

Start off by eavesdropping on the two civilians outside the Great Garrison to learn about the hidden passageways. We opted for a particular route:

  • Clamber on the wooden scaffolding to reach the western ramparts.
  • While you're on the ramparts, you might want to go to the gatehouse. There's an opening that leads to the upper section, which has an armoured guard. You can use various tools to eliminate him swiftly, which allows you to open a Gear Chest that has the Abbasid Knight Dagger Upgrade Schematic.
  • Back to our mission: continue along the ramparts, heading south and east, until you see the cook, who's actually loyal to Ali. Talk to him and he'll walk all the way to the inner courtyard.
  • While the cook is walking along the grounds, use all the cover that's available, such as tall grass, higher ledges, and various obstacles. Eventually, the cook will stand in front of a doorway, which he'll unlock.

How to free the rebels and enter the Warlord's room

Upon reaching the inner courtyard, you'll see the Assassin's Creed Mirage Warlord target, though you can't kill him yet. Instead, you'll have to help Ali by doing the following:

  • Go to the back area from the yard and ping the map via Eagle Vision. This will reveal an armoured guard that's carrying a key.
  • Kill the guard and pick up the key, then return to the courtyard. This lets you unlock the cell of the prisoners.
  • Ali and the prisoners will battle the remaining guards, so you should be able to sneak past them without problems.
  • Make your way to the back area with the armoured guard from before, then use the key to open the inner chamber. You can then unlock the trapdoor that leads to the Warlord's room.

How to get the cinematic kill

The Warlord will talk to a couple of his guards before sending them away. Once he walks to the centre of the room, make sure you're still on the second floor.

Then, head to the opposite side by traversing the wooden awnings and chandelier. You'll see a ledge at the end of the balcony, which has the skull icon. Go there and, assuming you didn't get spotted, you'll be able to press the button prompt to get the cinematic kill.

It's not over yet, even if the Warlord is dead. That's because several guards will storm the courtyard. You can easily eliminate them since Ali and the liberated prisoners will help you. Once you're done with the second encounter and have made your escape, this part of the mission will be marked as completed.

That's it: that's everything you need to know about the Assassin's Creed Mirage Warlord assassination mission. Don't forget that you still need to take out the Great Scholar and the Treasurer. Once you're done, it's time to go after the Head of the Order.
