Does Assassin's Creed Mirage have online multiplayer?

Unfortunately for those hoping to link with other players online in Assassin's Creed Mirage, the game will not have an online multiplayer mode. To coincide with its "returning to roots" feel, given it is going back stylistically to what made it popular in the beginning, the game will be primarily a solo title.

At least, this is the situation at the time of writing. With the trends of the industry these days, it would not be unreasonable to speculate a change of heart later on.

Will Assassin's Creed Mirage multiplayer be added in the future?

While nothing has been confirmed from the team at Ubisoft about whether Assassin's Creed Mirage will have a multiplayer mode, it wouldn't be entirely off-brand to see it included at a later date. Some of the previous Assassin's Creed titles, including Brotherhood, Unity, and Revelations, had multiplayer modes included, so we could see it again in Mirage.

In saying that, there are two focal points that may indicate that we won't see multiplayer in Mirage. The first of these is the fact that the game was originally set to be an expansion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, so it's naturally a smaller overall game, meaning Ubisoft may not add additional features. On top of that, multiplayer has not been included in the most recent franchise entries, so it may not be a direction Ubisoft wants to go with its iconic series.
