The Assassin's Creed Mirage Great Scholar is the boss of the Abbasiyah district. He's one of several targets that you'll have to eliminate at this point of the campaign.

How to assassinate Fazil the Great Scholar in Assassin's Creed Mirage
You can take out Fazil the Great Scholar in Assassin's Creed Mirage during a mission called the Great Symposium, which is the concluding segment of the Abbasiyah arc.
After completing your investigation, return to the House of Wisdom and watch Fazil's speech, where he's warned of your presence. You can then choose to follow him or find another way.
How to get the passphrase
We recommend getting the passphrase, which is significantly easier. Here's what you need to do:
- Go to the large chamber at the back of the House of Wisdom. The NPC won't let you in since you still need the passphrase.
- Go up to the second floor, sit on a nearby bench, and eavesdrop on two scholars talking about the books in the library.
- Enter the library and watch out for the guards. If you do get spotted, run back outside to the previous hallway. They won't follow you, so you'll still be able to run in for a quick kill once they lose track.
- You can use your Eagle Vision ping to find the books that you need to examine, including one in the lower stairwell and another in a balcony.
Once you have the passphrase, return to the NPC who's guarding the large door. In our case, the correct answer was "Are Those Who Shall Return," though we can't confirm if this will be different for other players.
How to Get the White Patient Robe disguise
You're one step closer to finishing Fazil the Great Scholar in Assassin's Creed Mirage. The next narrow passageway has several guards, though you can sneak past them undetected, or take them out if you prefer. Upon reaching the lower chamber, check one of the cells off to the side to receive the White Patient Robe.
If you have the White Patient Robe equipped, the guards will think that you're there to see Fazil. Follow the guard as he leads you to the inner sanctum.
How to Get the cinematic kill
If you're disguised and able to approach Fazil in the centre of the room, press the button prompt to start a cinematic. Once Fazil moves too close to Basim, press the button prompt again to stab his throat.
The good news is that none of the guards were alerted when we did this, at least in our experience. That meant we were able to escape the inner sanctum without any issues.
