Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the most popular titles out there, even before it's upcoming next-gen release. As revealed during Take-Two Interactive's Q2 Earnings Call, the game has now sold 155 million copies since release.

Selling more than five million copies during the last quarter, it's an impressive achievement considering GTA V first released back in 2013. This continued success can be largely attributed to Grand Theft Auto Online, which still receives widespread updates.

Another factor worth considering is Grand Theft Auto VI's absence. The highly anticipated sequel to GTA V has reportedly been delayed several times already. According to insider Chris of Rockstar Mag, one reasons is due to Rockstar founder and GTA writer Dan Houser's departure from Rockstar Games.
