Genshin Impact Moonchase Festival Release Date

The Moonchase Festival release date is set for September 27, beginning with part 1 of the Moonlight Merriment event, and it's expected to run right up until the end of update 2.1. To play this event, you need to have access to the Liyue Region and have unlocked all the Statues of the Seven in the event-related areas of the map. You'd be wise to activate them before the event starts so you can start playing from day one.

Genshin Impact Moonchase Festival Seasonal Events

Numerous seasonal events will arrive in Update 2.1, with a special one occurring during the Moonchase Festival. These will involve different minigames or alternate game modes and will award you with a lot of rewards, such as premium currency, EXP Materials, or Mora.

Genshin Impact Moonchase Festival - Moonlight Merriment

The Moonlight Merriment event involves a series of challenges in the form of a Treasure Hunt game mode called Moonlight Seeker. This challenge will see you travelling through Mondstadt, Liyue, and Dragonspine while attempting to acquire the Moonchase Charms. Genshin Impact Moonchase Festival - Passage of Clouds and Stars

On top of the main seasonal event, another celebration will be held during the festival by the name of Passage of Clouds and Stars. Checking in after 2.1 update releases will award you with the following rewards:

  • Intertwined Fate
  • Hero’s Wit
  • Mora
  • Mystic Enhancement Ore

Besides the rewards under this check-in campaign, the initial top-up bonus will be reset, so you can receive double the amount of Primogems when you buy in every category for the first time!
