While some GTA players are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky hijinks and spending all of their hard-earned cash, others are already looking forward to GTA 6.
For some, this has involved coming up with potential ideas for its soundtrack, intensely debating how much its map should ideally remind them of GTA San Andreas or even planning out the minutiae of their first playthrough.
However, it seems some fans on Reddit are busy devising how they’ll blow all of the money they earn by committing crimes in Vice City, with one having declared a desire to go island-hopping.
Have you started planning out how you’ll approach GTA 6?
This aspiration is the subject of a recent thread on the GTA 6 subreddit, which began with a post from the prospective player in question, user jimmyloxgotbanned, who outlined their pitch for how the game’s map, suggesting that they’d like to see island nations like The Bahamas, Cuba and Puerto Rico receive some kind of representation in the game.
The central reason they provided for wanting to see this idea come to fruition is that it could seemingly provide a suitable environment for purchasable private islands, which they’d like to see be: “fully customizable based on your funds.”
Some of their fellow criminals seemed to be on board, with NikolitRistissa saying: “I’d love islands. I never realised playing the previous GTAs that they really are lacking islands. Boating around them is a lot of fun in the Far Cry games.” and InKhornate adding: “I want my own Escobar island.”
On the other hand, user TheDanteEX suggested that they thought this might be too much to ask of the game, joking: “Some of y'all really want to be let down, don't ya?”
Meanwhile, user the123king-reddit advocated having the player obtain a private island through a mission, similarly to how Vice City’s Tommy Vercetti acquires the Diaz mansion.
