Cyberpunk 2077 - Mod gives female V a Maelstrom-inspired makeover

Some Maelstrom gang members in Cyberpunk 2077.

While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty Expansion arrives and they can ditch their old flame, Keanu Reeves, for a fresh celebrity companion in Idris Elba, some are still hanging out in Night City while they wait.

When they’re not chilling out at a nightclub or relaxing in their swanky apartments, many of these chooms can be found shooting or quickhacking their way through dangerous foes to complete a gig for a fixer or quest for a friend.

If you live for the rush of risking your neck and want to fully embrace the aesthetic of a cybernetically-enhanced problem solver, then we have a couple of new mods you'll want to add to your load order.

Feel like your dangerous Night City mercenary needs some frightening cybernetics to complete their look?

The mods in question are the work of modder MONSTERaider, who has previously added everything from sleek corporate formalwear to thigh-mounted holsters to female V’s wardrobe.

This time, they’ve taken inspiration from the Maelstrom gang’s penchant for grafting laptops and printers to their bodies and created both ‘MONSTERaider - Psycho Visors ArchiveXL’ and ‘MONSTERaider - Psycho Cyberwares ArchiveXL’.

The former is the slightly newer of the two and concentrates on the facial region of your character’s cyber-corpus. This provides seven different visors that’ll cover up their eyes with a range of unsettling red lights, as well as add some other unique accessories to their head. All of which convey the message that you’ve probably recently upgraded your cyberdeck’s RAM.

Meanwhile, the latter provides some equally drastic modifications for the rest of their body. Everything from completely robotic-looking legs to extra arm hoses, and even gruesome tech that turns their torso into a grisly jigsaw of flesh is on offer.

If all of that sounds up your alley, you’ll first have to grab psiberx’s ‘ArchiveXL’ and ‘TweakXL’ first, as well as ‘MONSTERaider - Viktor Vektor Store’, which will allow the ripperdoc in question to sell you all of these cybernetics via Jesusrofls’ ‘Virtual Atelier’ framework.

Regardless of whether your V is now dreading the next time they have to pass through an airport metal detector, be sure to follow us for more interesting Cyberpunk 2077 mods. We've got lots of awesome mod guides, like how to romance Johnny Silverhand, and perhaps most importantly, how to pet your cat.
