While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty expansion arrives and they can ditch their old mate Keanu Reeves for a fresh celebrity friend in Idris Elba, some are still chilling in Night City while they wait.

When they’re not busy living the bombastic life of a street racer or futuristic fashion model, many of these chooms can be found grabbing a few drinks at The Afterlife or Lizzie’s Bar before they head home at the end of a long day.

If you’re one of those who regularly enjoy a taste of Night City’s nightlife or have an eye for immersive details, a new mod, which adds fresh animations to bars across the metropolis, might be worth adding to your load order.

Feel like hanging out in Cyberpunk 2077’s night spots isn’t quite as cool as it could be?

The mod in question is called ‘Immersive Bartenders’ and is the work of modder Deceptious. Some of their previous work has given you the chance to sit in a Ripperdoc’s chair while they work on you and added pet cats to the game’s portfolio of apartments.

This time, they’ve decided to make sure that all of the game’s bartenders can offer you a fully animated drink at their bar, rather than simply selling you consumables via a traditional barter menu.

Upon initiating conversation with one of these proprietors, such as Mateo at Lizzie’s or Claire at The Afterlife, you’ll be presented with a range of drinks like whiskey, beer and tequila via the same interaction menu used for bars at certain points during missions.

Selecting one of these will see your character stand at the bar and gradually down their tipple of choice via sips or swigs, receiving the same effects as you would if you were consuming them from your inventory.

Deceptious has designed this mod to be fairly lightweight, allowing it to be slotted into crowded load orders with minimal issue.

Alternatively, if you’re keen on being able to go drinking with in-game friends like Judy and Panam, the mod can be seamlessly teamed with one of their more complex existing mods, called ‘Night City Interactions - Watson and Westbrook Drinks plus Edgerunners locales’.

Regardless of whether you’re now watching a bartender’s visage get a little bit fuzzy as you down your fifth shot in a row, make sure to follow us for more interesting Cyberpunk 2077 mods and info on the game’s upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion.
