The loadout you create before dropping into a Call of Duty match can make all the difference in determining whether you reach the top of the scoreboards. Odds are, things will be no different in Modern Warfare 3.

With all eyes turning towards the Call of Duty Next event and the start of the multiplayer beta, possibly leaks about Sledgehammer Games' latest project continue to pop up. While many fans are looking forward to a revised perk system, planned health changes have already split player opinion.

The latest leak to emerge claims a huge change could be coming to loadouts, via feature which would provide further clarity to players outfitting their weapons with attachments.

Modern Warfare 3 weapon stats leak

According to notable Call of Duty leaker el_bobberto, Modern Warfare 3 could feature detailed weapon statistics, as seen in some previous Call of Duty titles.

Instead of using Modern Warfare 2's weapon statistics, which are displayed via thin bars that move to reflect in-game performance, these extra details would be expected to provide players with more information on how specific attachments would affect a gun's overall firepower.

Judging by the comments on the post, players are hoping there's some degree of accuracy to the leak. One said: Sledgehammer Games (would) really (be) spoiling us," while another added: "Of course they are. IW (Infinity Ward) isn't in charge."

On the other hand, some fans are concerned about the theoretical accuracy of weapon statistics. One argued: "(This) only matters if the stats are accurate for once, which is literally never the case in any CoD game."

As with all leaks, it's worth taking this with a pinch of salt, even if this particular leaker has a decent track record, meaning there's a chance there could be some legitimacy to this recent discovery. Thankfully, Call of Duty Next isn't far away and so we can find out more about what MW3 multiplayer has in store.
